NOTICE OF VACANCY IN THE OFFICE OF PARISH COUNCILLOR NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN pursuant to Section 87(2) of the Local Government Act 1972 that Due to the resignation of Councillor Mr Christopher House a casual vacancy exists in the office of Councillor for the said Parish. On receipt of a request in writing from any ten local government electors for the said Parish, an election to fill the vacancy will be held within sixty days. If no such request is made the vacancy will be filled by the Parish Council. Requests for such an election should be addressed to The Returning Officer, West Lancashire District Council, 52 Derby Street, Ormskirk, L39 2DF to arrive no later than fourteen days from the date on this notice (computed in accordance with Rule 2 of Schedule 2 of the Local Elections (Parish and Communities) Rules 1986).
